The main bash of the European Get Online Week in Spain was the 15th Meeting of Telecentre Networks, organised in collaboration with the Technological Modernisation Agency of Galicia under the slogan “Boosting Your Digital Upskilling”. The purpose was to get to know the main strategic actions carried out by Telecentre Networks, to boost the position of Telecentres as key resources for improving digital skills for employability and to encourage digital social innovation.
Four debate panels were organised, one of them on European Fit4Jobs project and the topic of youth employability. The Spanish Association of Telecentre Networks (Asociación Comunidad de Redes de Telecentros), who is the project partner in Spain, presented the training results and success. Speakers analysed the Fit4Jobs programme in the context of fostering employability. Fit4Jobs aims to readjust the training pathway of young people towards the field of ICTs so as to satisfy the current and future demand and to improve their professional opportunities. Further European projects being developed by the Association were also analysed and the Director of the AMETIC’s IT Foundation delivered a speech on “The professional profiles of digital transformation” and the “e-Skills for jobs” campaign.
