Second project brochure tells real stories about trainees

Fit4Jobs has been piloted in six countries in 2015: Greece, Spain, Portugal, Lithuania, Latvia and Ireland. The second project brochure reveals the outcomes of ICT training through telling real stories about trainees from each country. Six young people speak about their experience with Fit4Jobs and how it helped them gain ICT skills and get a job.

FIT4JOBS team report great preliminary results and discuss steps to a global vision

The FIT4JOBS partners’ team met in Dublin April 26-27 2016 to discuss the final position in the European Commission funded project to propagate the FIT (Ireland) training for employment model across five additional European countries. The team was built through partnerships with major private and public organisations engaged in social enterprise initiatives to reduce the Digital & Social Divide through training & support for marginalised groups. In this particular instance the training was specifically targeted at unemployed young people seeking to enter the work place with in-demand ICT skills.

Get Online Week in Spain: Telecentres can boost people’s digital skills

The main bash of the European Get Online Week in Spain was the 15th Meeting of Telecentre Networks, organised in collaboration with the Technological Modernisation Agency of Galicia under the slogan “Boosting Your Digital Upskilling”. Four debate panels were organised, one of them on European Fit4Jobs project and the topic of youth employability.

GOW 2016 in Latvia: Chance for young people to explore FIT4JOBS tests!

During the Get Online Week 2016 youth in Latvia had a chance to evaluate their digital and computer skills by completing Fit4Jobs tests. The test includes questions about the use of office software such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook. 151 participants completed the test during the Get Online Week 2016, mostly youth aged 11-19 years.
